Furnace Operator - 1st Shift
Load glass to be tempered on the furnace conveyor table, or unload the tempered glass from the furnace and pack it into cases or distribute the glass to the proper areas for additional fabrication. Every employee is responsible for the safe handling of materials and equipment whenever they are on company property. Laminating Operator - 1st shift
To be able to cross train and perform all duties related to Laminating. Cut, edge and wash glass for tempering/laminating. Stage glass for special inspection and perform cleaning by hand using various cleaning and priming chemicals. Operation of overhead hoist and vacuum lift required. Measure and cut proper interlayer material and place on cleaned glass ensuring holes, notches and edges are properly aligned and edges are sealed with laminating tape. Operation and general maintenance of laminating oven and cutting equipment required. Hair net, beard cover and coat/apron will be utilized for quality purposes. All employees are responsible for the safe handling of materials and equipment whenever they are on company property. Maintenance Technician 2nd shift
This position is responsible for maintaining the building, utilities, and equipment to meet business requirements. The Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains instrument equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s or site specifications. This position requires at least 3 years industrial Maintenance experience. Welding experience is required and Industrial Electrical experience is preferred. Virginia Glass - Full Time
Edging Operator- 2nd shift
Must maintain a consistent front end supply of glass available for the edging machine to allow maximum efficiency. Virginia Glass - Full Time
Material Handler - 1st Shift
Required to maintain a constant flow of product through the machine to achieve maximum efficiency of equipment at all times.The materials that are fabricated at Virginia Glass & Mirror are potentially dangerous if handled in a careless fashion, and can cause severe bodily injury. Every employee is responsible for the safe handling of materials and equipment whenever they are on company property. They are to make absolutely certain that they conduct themselves in a manner that will not cause injury to themselves or others.
